Mother, daughter killed in car crash | 911

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WECT) – A family in Columbus County is in mourning after a car accident that took the lives of a mother and daughter Thursday afternoon.

According to Fair Bluff Police Chief Justin Hewett, the wreck happened about a mile outside of Fair Bluff on Highway 74/76, just before 2:30 p.m.

Investigators say Pamela Hamilton, 46, was driving when an 18-wheeler slammed into her car. Her daughter, Jennifer Sanders, 26, was in the car with her at the time. Both women were killed in the crash.

When last checked, Sanders’ husband was in critical condition and her baby was in stable position at a hospital in South Carolina.
