COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Deputies with the Columbus County Sheriff's Office arrested a man wanted in connection to a shooting in August.
Tabor City Police said they received a tip Tuesday that Dustin Stackhouse was seen at a mobile home park in Clarendon.
Stackhouse was the last of several people wanted in connection to the shooting of David Grubbs. Authorities say Grubbs' son was assaulted and robbed the same night he was shot in the face.
Grubbs called his son's phone and whoever robbed his son answered. The person told Grubbs to meet them at the church and they would return his son's belongings to him. Instead, they shot him. He survived the shooting and is currently recovering.
Stackhouse is charged with assault with a deadly weapon, armed robbery, and six counts of attempted murder.
