Fair Bluff narrows search for police chief, new town clerk sworn in | Business

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WECT) - Fair Bluff town council members agreed on a candidate Monday night. That person will be offered the job on Tuesday according to Mayor Randy Britt.

The mayor did not identify the candidate.

Peggy Moore, who worked part-time at the Town Hall, was sworn in as the town's new clerk on Friday.

Former police chief Marty Lewis and former town clerk Tamika Packer were fired last month after being arrested for drug charges.
