Police Chief earns top award at Raleigh meeting
COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Friday, Fair Bluff Police Chief Justin Hewett received the highest award a law enforcement officer can receive – an Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate.
Hewett confirmed that he received the certificate while attending a Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission meeting in Raleigh.
Sheriff Chris Batten presented the award to Hewett, and Hewett’s father, a retired sheriff, and wife were at the event.
