Gun found on school bus in Columbus County | Crime

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WECT) - Columbus County sheriff's deputies are investigating a gun that was found on a school bus Friday morning.

According to Cpt. David Nobles a student discovered the gun and brought it to the bus driver's attention.

The bus was headed to South Columbus High School.

Nobles says the bus driver lives in Green Acres, an area known historically known for crime. The bus was parked in the area.

He said they're investigating if a student carried the gun on the bus or if someone could have walked on the bus over night and left the gun.
