New police chief to start in Fair Bluff this week | News
COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Fair Bluff’s new police chief will take post this week.
Justin Hewett, 26, will be sworn into office Monday at 5 p.m. and will officially start work Tuesday.
Hewett comes to Fair Bluff after being a detective for the Holden Beach Police Department for six years. Hewett replaces Marty Lewis who was fired in May after he was arrested on drug charges.
