Columbus Baptists Association collects Toys for less fortunate families | News

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WECT) - Churches in Columbus County that belong to the Columbus Baptists Association, are collecting toys for a drive they're calling Toy Store.

They've raised nearly $17,000 and have bought toys for more than 300 kids. Counselors, at schools in Columbus County, will compile a list of less fortunate families. That list will be given to the association, and then in Dec. those parents will go to a church and buy brand new toys at a reduced price.

The toys will be 10 cents on the $1. If parents cannot afford that, then the toys will be given to them for free.
