WEATHER: Warm and sunny

Sunny and mild conditions will be the norm for the next couple of days as Bermuda high pressure sets up shop over the western Atlantic.

Expect to see high temperatures today moving into the mid 80s as a more summer like pattern emerges.

Plenty of Atlantic and Gulf moisture streams into the region on the west side of the high pressure giving us enough moisture to touch off a sea breeze induced shower or thunderstorm each afternoon as we go through the weekend.

Weather: Record cold?

A couple of cooler (although pleasant) days ahead as Canadian cool air moves in under a dome of high pressure.

Today, we will slowly press into the low 70s, with tons of sun and some light northwesterly winds.  Tonight, we will make a run at a century old record low temperature.

Back in 1917 we hit 44F for the low, I'm predicting  45F for tonight.  So you get the idea: clear and cooler weather is expected tonight into tomorrow.

As we move into Wednesday or temperatures will move back into the 80s with some of that summertime humidity returning as well.

Some rain chances are possible this weekend, but with zonal flow aloft our pattern won't be changing much for the last half of the week.  Highs in the mid-80s lows in the  60s.

WEATHER: A look at the weekend cold front - showers

Summer like conditions are expected today with high temperatures moving into the mid to upper 80's this afternoon.

Dry high pressure will keep the shower chances at bay today, but Saturday increasing moisture ahead of a southward diving cold front, will bring shower and thunderstorm chances for the overnight hours.

As the cold front moves through on Sunday we will start Mother's Day with scattered showers and thunderstorms.  This moves off shore during a breezy Sunday afternoon with temperatures taking a nosedive into the early work week.

Friday – Awesome – Sunny Hi: 86F
Saturday – Early, clouds build. Afternoon/evening showers and thunderstorms. Hi: 81F
Sunday – Early showers and thunderstorms. Afternoon, breezy. Hi: 80F
