COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WECT) - In Fair Bluff, people will vote on whether or not to allow restaurants to serve mixed alcoholic drinks.
The mayor says a business owner in Myrtle Beach is considering opening an upscale restaurant in Fair Bluff, and would like to sell mixed drinks.
Town officials are going to put a referendum on the ballot, but it won't be voted on in this upcoming election – state law won't allow the referendum to be on the ballot during the Presidential Election.
Town officials are looking into when citizens would vote on the issue.
