COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Southeastern Community College relies heavily on the Rams Club to operate its athletic programs and the school is looking for new members.

Last year, the baseball team advanced to the World Series for the first time in SCC history, and the Rams Club provided both support and funds to send the team to compete in Oklahoma.

“Not only are we looking forward to another stellar baseball season, but our softball team also boasts a talented roster and is poised for success,” stated SCC athletic director Clarence Ganus in a news release.

The Rams Club offers a variety of membership packages, which start at $50. A membership form is available on the Athletics page of the SCC website.

In addition to joining the Rams Club, individuals may support the organization by purchasing cooked Boston butts that will reportedly be distributed on Saturday, Feb. 18 during the home baseball and softball games at noon.

Boston butt tickets are $25, with $15 being considered a tax deductible donation. Tickets may be purchased from any athlete, member of the Rams Club or by contacting Ganus at 910-642-7141 ext. 254.
